16-year-old cat lost his only home and shares his happiness at finding a new family
Orion, a 16-year-old cat, lost the only home he had ever known. Here is his tale. He wasn’t as sure of himself when he got to the Cat Adventure Rescue League & Sanctuary in Fort Worth, Texas, so he stayed hidden. He spent over a week in hiding!

He lost his only home and is unsure of his new one, but he sure enjoys sneaking up and cuddling you when you’re sleeping. Orion, welcome home. Karyn Poplin from the Cat Adventure Rescue League stated, “We’re glad to have you.
It didn’t take long until Britches, one of the neighborhood cats, came to comfort Orion with hugs and lots of purrs. The shelter has had Britches as a resident for 18 years! Orion slowly but surely started to break out of his shell and live again after he understood how much Britches loved him.

Orion quickly returned to giving everyone head bonks, which is what he loves to do the most. And Orion now expresses his appreciation for this brand-new, fantastic home on a daily basis!
Sometimes all we need is someone to love us back into reality and to believe in us.
