Threats to her life began after she rehomed a cat whose owner refused to pick it up
It is stated that if you assist someone or are there for them to help them overcome a problem, you will eventually be paid for it. However, the reality is frequently discouraging since there are instances when lending a helping hand is simply not appreciated, and you simply have to accept it. Am I The A**hole subreddit member u/MidwestPrincess09 shared in a post there. that she had let her daughter’s cousins remain at her house until their mother found them a new place. Out of these cousins, the oldest, who was about 18, brought his girlfriend with them, and the two spent a month at the OP’s home.
The boyfriend and girlfriend never showed up to pick up their belongings—and their cat—about a year later, when everyone was moving out. This infuriated the OP, who made the decision to leave their things outside and tell them to gather their belongings and that their cat had been adopted. That’s not the end of it, though, as she continues to face insults and threats for what she did even four years after the main event.
The husband’s family gained control of the OP’s hospitality. It was a smart choice to move their belongings outside and, more urgently, to find a new home for the cat.
Isaiah first found a place to stay before forcing his girlfriend and their cat to move in. OP had the option of declining, but because she is a kind person, she decided to provide housing for several of her husband’s relatives, including Isaiah. Once they had moved out, Mr. Entitled made the decision to play it cool and not grab his stuff—not even the cat. Wow
Isaiah decides to threaten her to get his cat back four years after she got his cat. He and a few of his buddies recently visited her house and bullied her.
The only wise choice is to rehome your cat if you don’t show up to pick it up after a year has passed. OP probably felt they no longer wanted the cat, and one can only spend so much money on a pet that isn’t even theirs. OP also needed to care for her own dogs. I wholly agree with her decision, it was meant to serve as a warning to that family. However, it turned out that Isaiah had made the decision to become a gang leader and was determined to have his cat back at any cost, including by threatening to kill OP. Crazy!
See what the people has to say about this whole situation.
I particularly like the idea of obtaining a restraining order against Isaiah, the bully. I’d also like to add that OP should make a complaint against Isaiah for bothering her and not being a good cat owner. I am not a lawyer, therefore I have no idea if any of this is feasible. However, she can feel secure moving forward and filing a lawsuit if she has herself protected with a restraining order by the court system. The rightful AH in this tale is that stupid thug Isaiah. That’s all I wanted to say.
