After the girl rescued a feral cat, another cat ran to request help
A little stray kitten strayed into the yard of a couple’s home in West Virginia one evening and ran up to them. “My partner was outside when the kitten from the alley next to our house came towards him.” He meowed loudly and was dirty,” Hanna rushed outside to see the kitten purring and meowing nonstop. She was about to return to the home with him in her arms when she heard the patter of small paws from behind.
When I turned around, I noticed another. The kitten was coming at me. I lifted him in my arms and carried him into the home as well. The kittens, Thane and Kira, were in terrible condition, with fleas crawling all over their little bodies. The pair decided to wash them first to get rid of the nasty fleas.
They gave the kittens food and a cosy bed after a few baths. Sister Kira immediately began to eat and recovered, but her brother was not doing so well. His condition continued to worsen significantly over the night, and he became very lethargic. Hanna placed a towel around him and warmed him with a heating pad.
She made him feel better by giving him water and sweets to drink. “ I put sugar syrup on his gums every few minutes. He was up and about after about 45 minutes. Needless to say, I sobbed.” The kittens’ condition continued to improve the next morning. They ate well and got stronger by the hour. To put it lightly, it was a roller coaster. At first, I believed Kira wouldn’t make it through the night. Thane quickly worsened. They’re both up and about now, eating and behaving normally.”
Tiny siblings are cared for 24 hours a day, seven days a week in the warmth of a loving family, with regular embraces. “Thane liked to drink cat’s milk replacer from a bottle,” Hannah’s dog, Uncle Bruce, wanted to express some love and care as well. “Uncle Bruce keeps a tight check on them and is never far from their side.”
