Paralyzed and abandoned in a box, not only is he given the chance walk! he is also given the chance to have his own forever home!!
They wanted to offer him the chance to walk and run again after finding him in a macaroni and cheese box with horribly broken rear legs! His legs were so badly twisted that doctors needed to help him get mobility again while also offering him physical therapy. So it was decided to make him his own wheelchair.
And what better way to create an adjustable wheelchair than with lego blocks? As he develops, the size of his wheelchair may be easily adjusted with Lego blocks. The big question was how he’d react to his new wheels. The good news was that once he was on the ground with his newly fitted wheels, he was unstoppable.
They named him Mac, short for Mac n Cheeze, after the old macaroni cheese box he was found in
“He’s slowly recovering some use of his legs,” Dr. Ned Horowitz said. “We took x-rays, and he’s on medicine to hopefully help him.” He eats well, he’s playful, and he’s friendly.” He is currently being cared for by the veterinary hospital team and will be available for adoption once he is healthy enough
Mac now has his own personal Facebook page where fans can follow his recovery, which includes swimming lessons, physical therapy with tiny exercise balls, and his new forever home!
