Soft meows wake a woman and her husband in the middle of the night, but they don’t own a cat!

Recently, a couple who heard a cat meowing lost all sleep. The noise coming from the basement was somewhat weird because they didn’t own the cat. They quickly entered and were shocked by what they saw. The basement contained a litter of tiny kittens that appeared to be no more than a few days old, and their mother was nowhere to be found.

My kid woke me up after midnight last month and told me there was a cat inside. We didn’t believe it at first, but we later picked up on the sound. Janette Miller from Indiana recalls, “We went in the basement and to our amazement, there were 7 kittens in there.”

Except for one cat from a time ago, they had never owned a cat and had never seen one in the area. Pets are not allowed in the rental home where Janette and her family live. However, it’s clear that a cat choose their basement as her birthplace.

The following morning, Janette took the kittens to the veterinarian, who advised her that they require 24-hour care in the absence of their mother. She turned to an Indiana shelter for help since she didn’t have time to care for them.

The staff adopted the kittens and provided round-the-clock care. After thorough research, Janette and her husband found a small opening in the wall through which the cat had gotten inside.

The kittens were healthy and doing well back at the shelter. According to Jennifer Gillispie, founder of the Here kitty Kitty Rescue, “they love cuddling with each other.” Due to their need for their mother’s milk to produce antibodies, the orphans are at danger of contracting deadly diseases. But the doctors and staff are confident that they will survive.

This is the reason neighborhood cats require neutering. If that were the case, they wouldn’t be able to leave orphans behind, fortunately, Jannette found this litter, but other orphans weren’t as fortunate. The little kittens are receiving all the food and care they require and were fortunate enough to have luck on their side, but other little angels won’t be able to live if cats aren’t treated more frequently.
