Found Buried in Snow, Frozen Cat “Comes Back to Life”
The cat Fluffy was found buried in the snow, freezing and lifeless. In Montana, where the temperature may drop as low as -13C, she saw snow and ice that had frozen to her fur.
Her owners hurried her to the local Animal Clinic of Kalispell out of fear for the worst. The cat was so chilly that the thermometers in the facility didn’t even read her body temperature. Fluffy started to show signs of improvement after being awakened by the veterinarians for a few hours using warm blankets and a hairdryer.
Along with the pictures, the clinic posted: “Amazing success and survival story from this week. Some clients found their hurt pet covered in snow.”
“She was almost frozen and unresponsive when they brought her to us. Although she had a very low body temperature, she eventually increased it and is now perfectly normal. Fluffy is fantastic.” It’s wonderful to see that she fully recovered.
