This Cat’s Fur was in poor condition, but beneath it, an Angel was hiding!
Douglas County Animal Care and Services is used to receiving calls about abandoned animals. However, they recently received a heartbreaking phone call. Liz Begovich, an organisation supervisor, found a pet carrier with a sick cat inside in front of the shelter one morning.
Because the cat’s fur was so tangled, they couldn’t tell what animal was inside at first! The situation was very bad, the cat couldn’t move because of the fur and was severely overweight as a result.
Liz immediately took the cat to the vet, who quickly shaved 4.5 pounds of fur off him! The cat was named Bob Marley by the staff, and once his hair was removed, it began to move around freely.
The cat now has a loving home and is recovering well after years of neglect. He was adopted in a matter of days and, as you can see, he is quite handsome. Authorities are now looking for information on Bob’s previous owner, who was fortunately caught on a CCTV camera. “We’d love to know what happened. “We’d like to know if the man has any other pets, like Bob, who are in pain,” Liz says. The truth should be announced soon. Bob is doing well right now, here’s a gallery of his heartbreaking story.
Recently, an unidentified man was seen on CCTV leaving an animal carrier in front of an animal shelter.
The shelter staff’s first guess was that it was a dog, because dogs are less particular about grooming than cats.
“We couldn’t turn him around because he was packed in the carrier.”
“So we removed the top and shouted “, ‘Oh my gosh, it’s a cat!'” “I’ve never seen a cat in such bad shape.”
The cat was trapped in its own hair, barely able to move underneath the tangled, matted layers.
“They shaved about 4.5 pounds of his hair. It was enough to fill a full-size kitchen trash bag.”
The formerly dreadlocked cat, dubbed Bob Marley by the shelter, turned out to be severely overweight.
The new dashingly handsome Bob was adopted and now lives in a loving home.
