When a man discovered a lonely cat in the cold, he knew what to do
Sylvester The cat’s life has not been easy. In an Ontario home where the winters can be very harsh, the cat spent his entire life living under the stairs. In addition to the freezing temperatures, Sylvester was frequently covered in fleas, wounds, and had a significant ear mite infection.
One day, a refuge RR rescuer decided to visit the cat after learning about him. Rob Boisvert says that “he was in horrible shape.” But when he neared, he noticed a message that read: “Leave cat there. Cat was there for a reason. Thank you.
Rob was shocked by this, but he soon realized Sylvester was there to chase the rats out of the house. But the cat was useless in its form. Sylvester was in urgent need of help because the hallway lacked heat and had neither food or drink.
Sylvester was taken to a cat shelter by Rob while he was covered in a blanket. He states that due to how chilly it was, the cat didn’t even attempt to escape! Thankfully, the staff at the sanctuary was able to restore the cat to health. Soon Sylvester had a lot better appearance and had physically risen.
After some time passed, Sylvester’s story was heard after the sanctuary shared a photo of him on their Facebook page. Even fan letters and cat nip toys, which the cat liked, began to arrive.
Sylvester was ready to be adopted after two months. The cat had a tough life, but Rob’s small amount of care helped him turn things around.
