Our hearts have been stolen by a woman’s newborn photo shoot with a kitten

A Michigan woman finally completed the full newborn kitten photo shoot that thousands of people from all over the world had been asking for.

Kitty Shaub, a 30-year-old photographer from Benton Harbor, specializes in taking pictures of newborns. Kitty and her husband made the decision to get her 5-year-old daughter a cat last year.

Kitty was quickly forced to add an unexpected member to her family when Kitty’s friend’s cat recently had a litter of six kittens, but she’s currently enjoying it. They gave the cat the name Luna, and Amelia and Luna are close.

“They spend all of their time together – they sleep, eat, and when Amelie is playing with the dollhouse, Luna is there as well!” Kitty expresses herself.

Kitty was preparing for a new photoshoot when she started to notice Luna sleeping on the cough and had an idea. Luna, as she says, sleeps almost all day, so preparing for the photoshoot was simple. She began dressing the kitten in headbands and fabrics, and the results are stunning. Kitty did a perfect photoshoot of Luna, and it’s everything we’ve been waiting for.

“I put her in a salad bowl from my kitchen, and everything worked out perfectly,” Kitty says, smiling. “She was sleeping the whole time – we tried waking her up, but she was cosy in there and just slept. I don’t think she mind – she’ll do almost anything if you pet her!”

The Internet burst when Kitty posted the photos to Facebook. The photos have been shared over 65,000 times, and Kitty says she had no idea how popular they would become. Because of the incredible response, she created a calendar of the photos and sold them for $20 each, with all proceeds going to a local shelter. Isn’t that cool?
