Kind People Save a helpless Cat from a Mountaintop
Mary Ann and Bill love to hike. They once heard a tale about a domestic cat who lived alone on a mountaintop. So they both made the decision to try and save the cat because they both wanted to help. Although having no actual cat rescue experience, they believed it was the right thing to do.
So they left early one morning at 6.30, travelling 6.2 kilometres round-trip and climbing 1,500 feet. Regardless of that it had been raining all week, they were keen about getting Kitty down the mountain in one day.
When they got to the vantage point where the cat had been spotted, he was not there. Bill and Mary Ann were sent in the right direction by one of the other hikers in the area who said to have seen a cat.
All they had to do now was wait after Bill set the cage trap up in a likely location. They didn’t have to wait long, either, since the trap closed about three minutes later.
This loving pair was so excited that they believed they would be waiting up there all day for the cat to take the bait. They named it “ Elgee for the cat and were amazed at how calm he was while leaving the mountain.
Do they adopt or foster? was the next choice after a thorough analysis. Elgee is already a member of the family, therefore the decision didn’t take long to make. At first, he was really shy, didn’t move around much, and always looked for quiet spots to hide.
After some time, he suddenly changed into a loyal, sociable cat, as if he had suddenly decided: “Okay, I suppose these humans are alright now.” I believe that Bill and Mary Ann are excited about saving Elgee since they adore having her in their lives.
