This is the tale of Baby Grey, a cat that formed a priceless friendship with another animal. You might believe that dogs and cats cannot get along, but Baby Grey and her buddy Gracie disprove that concept completely.

Unfortunately, their friendship suddenly came to an end after Gracie’s death from severe cancer. Baby Grey still comes every day in the hope of seeing her best buddy again, even though it has been more than a year since her passing.

Since they first met more than two years ago, Baby Grey has arrived at Gracie’s house directly in her owner’s yard and has patiently waited just past the sliding door according to her daily routine. She would wait for Gracie the American Eskimo for at least 20 minutes and often even longer every day.

Shea Belew Brennaman, the owner of Gracie, said that the two hit it off right away. Baby Grey began to see Gracie more regularly as time passed, and the two grew closer to one another.

“Gracie would share her favourite reward, tomatoes, with the cat when we left them out on the porch, which was a big deal because Gracie was picky about who got what. Their absolute favorite activity was lying in the sun,” according to Brennaman.

Gracie was well known for being an incredibly loving, kind, and sociable dog that closely guarded the people she cared about. Gracie received her initial diagnosis of severe lymphoma in October 2017, shortly after turning 12 years old. Baby Grey visited her frequently in her final days, according to Brennaman, and the two just sat next to one another. It nearly seemed as though they loved each other.

A little over a month later, in November 2017, Gracie went away. Even Baby Grey appeared to keep a special vigil for her canine pal after hearing about Gracie’s passing. Her family was crushed by her passing. Brennaman frequently observed Baby Grey as she looked for her friend. How sad.
