Cat Visits the Same Place Every Day for a Year After Being Left Alone
After her owners abandoned her, a cat in Russia has been returning to the same location ever since, and she has now attracted attention online. The lone cat was first captured on camera in 2015 sitting atop of a manhole cover in Belgorod, in the Belgorod Oblast region of southwest Russia. Every day since, the cat has reportedly returned to the same location, probably waiting for its owners to come home.
Ostap Zadunayskiy, a user with that username on the Russian version of Facebook, posted the tale of the abandoned cat. After its owners abandoned it, this lone cat in Russia has been sitting in the same place for a year.
He said to have heard that the cat’s original owners once resided in the nearby area but had sold their flat and moved elsewhere. He was told by residents that they had observed the cat chasing its owners as they left and that they had never come back. They said that she has been waiting at the same location ever since.
This is a great example of human cruelty and true animal loyalty, according to Mr. Zadunayskiy. In addition, he gave thanks to many of the residents who had fed the cat throughout the years.
“You become forever responsible for what you’ve tamed”, as several Internet users quoted from Antoine de Saint-book Exupery’s The Little Prince. Many people, though, were suspicious of the tale, speculating that the cat merely stayed there to be fed there each day.
